Some Traditional Games of Indonesia....

Engklek.

Engklek, or the " one-leg jump", is the indonesian traditional game of hopscoth, which requires balanced movement of the players to execute systematic hops into or over squares drawn in the ground to retrieve a marker in one of the squares.

Mobil-mobilan Kulit Jeruk.

Toy cars and carts made from the thick skin of Jeruk Bali are a fine example of child creativity and innovation, using simple left-over material to create something entirely different and more useful.

Lompat Tali.

The traditional Indonesian jump rope game is a game of physical perseverance, which can be played individually or in group.
The rope is made from chain of rubber bands notched together one after another.

Egrang.

The traditional egrang is a pair of long bamboo sticks with footrests attached. it takes quite a learning process in a spirit of try and try again, before a child can possess the physical balance and body coordination needed to stand and walk around using the engrang.

Layang- layang.

To get a kite off the ground, make it soar higher and maneuver it in the air requires learning the proper technique and skills. But once learned, both children and adults can have hours of fun flying kites, whether just for enjoyment or for competition.

Kelerang.

Kelereng is the Indonesian game of marbles, a favorite of children in many countries all over the world. while there are different rules of play, a game of marbles requires a good strategy as well as skill to accurately shoot the marbles.
